The article discusses the function of copying products in the manual creation process and adds more detailed instructions to the article Manual Connection - the process of setting up a product.
How to copy the product?
The icon for copying the product can be found in the partner portal under "Products" and in the "Overview".
Press the highlighted "Copying a product" will open an automatic window where you can choose the range of copying.
The automatic window contains the copied product name, where there is always a predefined flag at the beginning "COPY".
After copying the product, you need to delete this flag from the product name. Otherwise, the product will not be able to switch to the state "live". This flag can be cleared in the automatic window or later directly in the product detail edit.
You will also find copying options:
- Structure - copies product ID, brand, category, EAN and priority
- Product description - copies the short and long description of the product
- Shipping and packaging - copies the entire Shipping & Packaging section (stock, availability, free shipping, product size - smallbox/bigbox and package dimensions)
- Parameters - copies all filled in parameters
- Price and sale offer - copies the whole section Price and promotions (price with VAT, recommended MOC, VAT, sales promotions and labels)
- Related products - due to the cancellation of the entire featured products section, this box no longer works
You can mark 1 or more copy options.
Another option for copying are variants of the product. You can copy all variants or just a selection of variants.
Once you have selected your options, press the "Copying a product". The system will then redirect you to edit the new product, where you will find all the selected copied data. You can continue editing and then save the product.
