The appearance and quality of a product are as important to sales as its price. We should therefore try to ensure that products are not only in the right categories, but that they also have good quality photographs and that their description is sufficient for the customer. In the following article, you will learn more about the requirements for the correct appearance of a product on our website.
As our partner, you are responsible for the content of your entire portfolio. You are responsible for the authenticity of the information you publish about your product and you follow the governmental conditions and regulations for the sale of your product range.
For more information on the terms and conditions, please see General Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to remove your product from the website if it does not meet the required appearance quality or applicable legislation.
Checking the appearance and content of products before launch
Why is content quality important?
- To get the customer on the web well oriented and immediately found what he needed
- To keep our customers coming back to us, to have the best customer experience and reduced returning goods
- To be seen at Search on Google, when fulltext search on the site, and thanks to the good reviews, you've moved on to the first positions when listing products
- So that you don't sell products on the site that we don't have permit or approval and avoid fines and other inconveniences
Before the actual launch of the products (products in the state "Live"), we control the content. Subsequently, your products (or a proportionate part thereof) will be checked and circumcised.
Depending on the result, you may then be required to make corrections to ensure the best possible quality of our website and also to ensure higher search engine rankings on Google.
Two types of errors are defined in product control. Severe errors that block the display of products on the site and then errors that do not prevent the activation of the product.
Any comments you have received from us must be incorporated into the products.
That's why we've prepared this detailed article with information on our product appearance requirements and a list of government and internal regulations that we update regularly.
Content:
- What the product should look like
- Overview of government and internal regulations for each country
- Introductory photos and gallery

What the product should look like
To give you a better idea of the ideal product design, we have an example below.
This is variant product (shoe size, colour), which has all the necessary details filled in. There is a brand name, quality photos on a white background, size charts and the necessary parameters.
Important:
In case the product contains variants (as in this example size and colour), it is necessary to create a variant product. It is not possible to upload variants separately, the product list would become unclear. At the same time, you must add a variant identifier to the name (for example, name + size 38).

Overview of government and internal regulations for each country
We have a table with a list of all bans and permits where you can easily find the current regulations for each country. We update the table regularly, but it is possible that we may miss something, so always rely mainly on the ministries and official state websites.

Mandatory data for fashion - textiles, footwear and accessories
The product detail must state the following across countries:
- Textile products:
- material - the name of the textile fibre and its percentage (for some products the name and percentage may not be given - see list below) - the names and percentages must be easy to read and understand and the same font size chosen for all types of fibres
- be permanently marked with maintenance symbols indicating the recommended maintenance method (except in Slovenia)
- size and size chart
- any other information that might be relevant to the purchase decision (e.g. is it a blue waterproof jacket, insulated trousers up to -5°C, etc.)
- Footwear:
- the material used in the main parts of the footwear (especially the upper, lining and insole, sole) - indicated by a pictogram or in writing
- size and size chart
- other information that might be relevant to the purchase decision (e.g. waterproof shoes, shoes suitable for the gym, shoes for running, etc.)
- Accessories (handbags, belts, etc.):
- for some textile products the fibre name and percentage may not be given - see list below
- material - if it is a textile, the material designation as for textile products above (fibre name + percentage)
- size/dimension/quantity
- other information that could be important for the purchase decision (e.g. method of fastening, number of pockets, etc.)
- In general for all products:
- The product must be described in such a way that it is sufficiently identifiable to prevent confusion or mistake on the part of the consumer (e.g. a clear distinction between the colour of the product and its composition - e.g. 'gold ring' - this is a ring that is gold in colour or a ring that is made of gold). The description should include basic information about the characteristics of the products sold, how they are used, how they are assembled, how they are maintained, and any dangers arising from their misuse. use, maintenance, preservation or storage. The definition must then be understandable to the average consumer.
- Product detail should also include manufacturer or importer, the supplier, if any, and any other information necessary, depending on the nature of the product, to identify it and, where appropriate, its use (e.g. the measure or quantity). In general, the more thorough the description, the less likely the customer is to withdraw from the contract on the grounds that the product does not suit him.
- For online sales of textiles and footwear within the EU (including Slovenia and Croatia), it is not mandatory to state the country of origin ("Made in ...") on websites — unless the absence of this information could mislead consumers, in which case it must be provided. Only if the lack of this information could cause confusion for consumers are you required to include it. However, in the future, such details will become mandatory as part of digital product passports. If you plan to position your brand around local origin ("Made in Croatia/Slovenia"), I recommend clearly stating this — even though it is not required, it can significantly strengthen customer trust.
- If some information is given, for example by means of pictograms, these must be clear, legible and complete and the pages must indicate their meaning or refer to the pages where their meaning is given.
- Instructions for use and maintenance of the product must be supplied to the customer together with the goods, in Slovenian and Croatian in the case of Slovenia and Croatia respectively.
- Product descriptions on the website must also be in languages by country.
Further additions on individual countries:
- Slovenia: Only Slovenian names may be used for thread titles. The use of trade names for fibres (e.g. Lycra, Dralon, Tactel, Diolen ...) is not allowed when indicating the raw material composition (Lycra is the trade name for elastane, Diolen for polyester, etc.). Abbreviations for fibres (Co or Bw, Wo, PES, EL ...) are also not allowed. Textile products intended for protection as workwear, protective clothing (for protection against rain, etc.) must also comply with the requirements laid down in the Decree on personal protective equipment.

Textile products which do not have to state the name of the textile fibre and its percentage in the product in the label:
- Sleeve bands, 2. Watch bands of textile materials, 3. Labels and labels, 4. Needles, 11. Painted canvases, 12. Backing and reinforcing fabrics, 13. Protective and safety textile articles such as safety belts, parachutes, life jackets, life slides, fire protection equipment, bulletproof vests and special protective clothing (e.g. for protection against fire, chemicals or other safety hazards), 39. Inflatable structures (e.g. sports halls, exhibition stands, storage areas, etc.) provided that information on the performance and technical specifications of these products is provided, 40. Boat sails, 41. Clothing for animals, 42. Flags and banners

- Information sheets can be part of a gallery or a long description, even in the form of a link
- Optional labels for online sales for now for heaters and tyres
