In the following article you will find a list of the most common Heureka XML feed error messages and their meaning. Based on this information, fixing errors in the Heureka XML feed will be easier.

Where to find error messages

Error messages are displayed after the first feeds are loaded. You can find them in the MALL Partner Portal, in the Heureka feed section, under the tab Feed status.
All error messages are in the lines Non-imported products and Deleted products. For more detailed information, click on the button Protocol. It also shows the number of products that are faulty.

In the log, you will find your product ID and the specific error message that needs to be fixed.
The products you find in the log have not been uploaded to the system because they contain an important error that makes it impossible to save the product to the system. It is therefore necessary to pay due attention to the reports and remove the errors.

A list of the most common error messages and their meaning can be found below.

Error message:	Meaning:
*ID: 123456, Error: variant [ID=123456] skipped due to missing parameters*	When creating variant products, the mandatory element is not filled in PARAM. More information can be found in our article Variant products and how to set them up.
ID: 123456, Error: Invalid MANUFACTURER or CATEGORYTEXT	One of the elements MANUFACTURER (brand) or CATEGORYTEXT (category) is missing or not valid in the product feed. It is necessary to check both elements in the feed and edit the one that is incorrect. The empty element is not accepted by the system. Valid tag and category are crucial for uploading products.
ID: 123456, Error: unpaired or unaccepted brand 'escape'	Brand 'escape' is not paired in a partner portal or contains illegal characters. After uploading the product feed, the tags that are already in the system are automatically paired. In this case, the brand name must not contain a typo. If the tag is not paired automatically, it needs to be created and paired. More information can be found in our article How to tag with Heureka XML Feed. ID: 123456, Error: Unpaired category 'Kitchen \| Ceramic bowls'	Category 'Kitchen \| Kitchenware \| Ceramic bowls' is unpaired in the partner portal. We recommend to use the categorization according to Heureka, i.e. use CATEGORYTEXTs that are defined in the Heureka tree and the pairing will be done automatically. If you use custom categories, you need to manually pair these categories to Heureka category directly in the partner portal. We have paired Heureka categories and MALL categories, so the product will then be automatically uploaded to the correct category on MALL. For instructions on matching categories, see here.
ID: 123456, Error: Invalid value for id '123456'. Product ID is already used as a variant ID.	The system detected 2x the same product ID in the feed. Each individual product or variant must have a unique ID.
ID:123456, Error: Invalid EAN value for barcode '11256661' or ID: 123456, Error: Invalid value for barcode '1 20 000 003 '. Max length is 13 chars.	EAN is not valid for this product. We check the number of characters, which should be no more than 13. Our system is also linked to the EAN database, so the validity of the EAN according to GS1 is also checked. You can use the available online EAN validators to check.
ID: 123456, Error: image size exceeded. Allowed image size is 2MB.	The picture is too big. The maximum size for an image is 2 MB with a maximum resolution of 2000px x 2000px. The minimum image size is 100KB.
ID: 123456, Error: sent media exceeded allowed value of 2000px. Your dimensions for media 'https://www.mmm.sk/image/catalog/espace/koberecky/A123.jpg‘ are 2609px x 2573px.	The picture is too big. The maximum size for an image is 2 MB with a maximum resolution of 2000px x 2000px. The minimum image size is 100KB.
ID: 123456, Error: product does not exist in current feed	Notice that the product has been removed from the product feed, so it has also been deleted from our system.
ID: 123456, Error: Invalid URL 'public:///12'.	The URL of the image is not valid.
ID: 123456, Error: Invalid value for delivery_delay '255'. Max length is 2 chars. Use supply delay for higher values.	Delivery delay is taken from DELIVERY_DATE element from product feed, see article Required elements for Heureka XML feeds. The value must be an integer with a maximum of 2 characters.
ID: 123456, Error: Unknown category id 'ND151'	This error message indicates an inconsistency in the pairing of the Heureka category and the MALL category. In this situation you need to contact us via Help Centre, we will correct the discrepancy in our system.
ID: 123456, Error: Category 'Heureka.sk \| Home & Garden \| Household \| Pelmets' has no SAP ID	Heureka category tree and MALL category tree are paired. Occasionally, it may happen that a category is not yet linked in our system, in which case you will find the error message above. In this situation you need to contact us via Help Centre, we will correct the discrepancy in our system.
ID: 123456, Error: Value of parameter MP_TYPE cannot be empty.	This error message indicates an inconsistency in the pairing of the Heureka category and the MALL category. In this situation you need to contact us via Help Centre, we will correct the discrepancy in our system.
ID: 123456, Error: Invalid value for id '10+1′. Allowed characters are: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, _, . and -.	The product ID contains unauthorized characters. Allowed characters are A-Z, a-z, 0-9,_,.,-.
ID: 123456, Error: parameter CLASSIFICATION_OF_SAFE_AND for category ND102 does not exist.	This error message indicates an inconsistency in the pairing of the Heureka category and the MALL category. In this situation you need to contact us via Help Centre, we will correct the discrepancy in our system.

Products without VAT settings

The VAT element is not included in the feed, so it is technically necessary to add VAT to the products. Just click on Set up, select the appropriate tax rate and confirm.
You set one VAT value for all products and you only need to make the settings once.

If you have products where you need to have different VAT values, you need to set the VAT element in the product feed for those products.

After setting up, the product feed needs to be loaded.

Products without rounded price

There is a price in the feed that is not rounded, so the price needs to be technically adjusted. Just click on Set up and confirm. You only need to make the settings once. After the setup, you need to load the product feed.

Products without EAN

EANs are mandatory for us and it is necessary to add them to the products. The list of IDs with missing EAN can be found by clicking on Protocol. It is necessary to add only valid EANs, otherwise the system will evaluate this as an error and the product will not be loaded into the system.
